Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actress for film, TV and on stage since the latter part of 1970. Thespian Jeanne-Marie Tripplehorn has worked professionally for the past 27 years. In 1990, she made her stage debut in a production of The Big Funk (John Patrick Shanley) off Broadway. A year later she was cast in her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. When she appeared in 1992, as played a supporting character in the movie Basic Instinct, her career took off. In the film The Firm however that she got the role of woman leading the film for just the very first time. She was cast in the film alongside stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.

Lexis came from a golfing clan and is no stranger to the sport that is predominantly male. When she was just 12 she became the youngest qualified to compete in the US Women's Open. It was not a win but she did finish the second player in 2007 after taking home the Aldila Junior Classic. She was the smallest American Junior Golf Association player (AJGA) and also being the smallest player to be crowned the winner of the Westfield Junior PGA Championship at the time.
